- RA Technical Regulations
Before the date of the effectiveness (02.01.2015) of the Agreement on “Accession of the Republic of Armenia to the Treaty” on the Eurasian Economic Union dated May 29, 2014” technical regulations in RA ware wholly carried out in accordance with RA law “On Technical Regulations” and technical regulations on each product group based on it .
Technical regulations define mandatory requirements related to product features, its application, as well as their import and market conditions. In some cases, they may also include concepts, symbols, packaging, marking and labeling requirements applied to product, process or production method, sanitary, phytosanitary, veterinary regulations, as well as requirements for the registration of the product.

- Technical Regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union.
The Agreement “On Eurasian Economic Union” of 24.05.2014 was stipulated to the subject received a single application of the product for the EU member states with technical regulations. 35 regulations out of the technical regulations of the Union are already effective. Taking into account the fact that Armenia is a EEC member, and the mentioned technical regulations shall be applicable in Armenia too, a need to establish specific transitional provisions arose in order to make it understandable when the national technical regulations cease to operate for each type of product, and, respectively, when and under what conditions EEU common technical regulations will be applicable.
In addition, based on the mentioned part of the Agreement, decision No. 28 of Eurasian Economic Commission on “Putting into force the technical regulations of the Customs Union” dated 14.04.2015 has been adopted which defines a certain sequence for the application of the technical regulations in the Customs Union
